One of the standout features of this hotel is its unique collaboration with 8 incredibly talented Indonesian emerging artists, each of whom has been entrusted with decorating a different floor. This concept is nothing short of brilliant, as it infuses the entire hotel with a vibrant and dynamic energy. As you move from floor to floor, you'll find yourself transported into different artistic realms, each with its own distinct style and identity. It's like staying in a living, breathing art gallery. The attention to detail in ARTOTEL Thamrin is truly commendable. The façade of the building itself is a work of art, a testament to the thoughtfulness that has gone into every aspect of the hotel's design. - Staffs are super friendly and professional. I had to do some work and need to print a document. I asked if they can help. One staff just right away asked me to send the document, she printed that out. I asked if I should pay, she said no. - Location is super good to reach restaurants, Sarinah, going places in the city center of Jakarta. - The room is cleaned. - They gave us some mineral water each day. That is something we appreciated. - Indonesian breakfast!!! They are really good and tasty :) basic international breakfast is also available: toast, cereal. - rooftop bar. We had late dinner with nice drinks during our stay :) - nescafe coffee machine in the room! :)

Prime location (right behind Sarinah Mall, which is a really impressive mall); artistic (has a mini art gallery); Double Chins restaurants have excellent food and cocktails, and BART (the rooftop bar) does very good cocktails, too (Guava Negroni is a must try!); comfortable and very clean room: I stayed in a Studio which offers big bed, artistic desk (with artistic chair and lamp), minibar, well-equipped bathroom. Thanks to the extremely helpful and professional staff at ARTOTEL, too. Honestly, nothing to complain. I will stay here again for sure if I come back to Jakarta.

The property was acceptable, since they've already told us the room size in the first place. Really interesting room, since there are no identical drawing in each room (we booked 2 rooms). If you stay over the week-end, you can experience the one and only : Car Free Day in the main street of Jakarta. And a lot of food stall - sell traditional food for breakfast (in the small streets near by). And a main museum just around the corner, Jakarta National Museum, the hotel even has their own modern-art gallery in their Mezzanine floor..

As we are vegan, it was a bit difficult to understand what we could eat so we had to ask but still looks like the waiters were not 100% sure about the ingredients. I would recommend adding a little target front of each dish with the name of the dish and main ingredients including allergies and dietary restrictions like vegan, if it contains eggs, peanuts etc. Great view from the roooftop bar. I would definitely recommend it!
